Giving High School graduation speeches is like pushing swimmers off a diving board. If they have benefited from their education they will be ready for that leap. They will be prepared for their future life whether as a third level student or as a member of the working fraternity. What you say in those High School graduation speeches should be something they will remember whether they become Olympic swimmers or just splash around in the local pool of life.

High School graduation speeches have to include a Welcome to guests and a reminder to the graduates to thanks parents and tutors. They should be personal to the school in question and reflect on its ethos and interests. The speaker should know and refer to achievements such as baseball wins or the fact that the school has won a nationwide drama festival. It should also allow for the fact that not all students have majority interests and that despite attending a musical school they might be more interested in science. Such speeches should be inclusive.

High School graduation speeches are obviously about the transition from young student to young adult. A good speaker will refer nostalgically to the fresh faced youngsters who arrived so many years ago and who are now leaving the High School for whatever it is they choose to do. Such speeches should certainly include a reference to the night on the town that the students will probably enjoy. Any such light hearted comment will endear itself to students who like to laugh. The speeches will certainly make a reference to the pride both parents and teachers feel for the graduates who have done so well.

Above all the High School graduation speeches should refer to the future. They should speak of individual talents and the opportunities that are available to the students. They should urge students to follow their dreams and to achieve their potential. Above all they should speak of friendships made at High School and how important it is to keep such friendships green. The speeches should end with a good luck wish for the future.

Selling Products Online To Generation Y Is A Profitable Plan

If you are involved in affiliate marketing or for a website that sells anything online, your world is changing at a rapid pace.

Only a few short years ago, marketing products online seemed to be the domain of scam artists and con men who all lived in Florida because of the lenient bankruptcy laws. My apologies to all of the successful entrepreneurs with integrity, who do live in Florida. My point is this, some time in the last few years the online world changed and this is now the domain of the organised professional who understands the demographic they are aiming to sell their products to. And, who also aims to sell a product of quality with back up service.

Generation Y consists of those born between 1980 - 1995 and are therefore aged between 13 - 27.

Let me explain who you are dealing with. Generation Y are a group that expect to start their financial lives much in the manner in which their parents finished theirs. In short, they are a little unrealistic.

Generation Y automatically expect a complete money back guarantee on anything they buy, so always offer at least a 30 day money back guarantee when dealing with these consumers.

Research undertaken by advertising agency Clemengers in 2005 shows a marked increase in spirituality in Generation Y. In 1978 just 26% of twenty-somethings surveyed said that religion was important to them but in 1995, the study showed that 40% were believers or at least interested in exploring religion.

So an online offer just pushing greed motives, without an ethical or personal growth message, will miss this target group and ensure that your site is never looked at again. Generation Y are also known as Generation "Why". They need straight forward facts and figures, so where you can hype Generation Xers with the promise of big bucks, you will have more success with Generation Y by simply sharing facts in black and white.

Make your site cool. If you are not, get website designers who are or Generation Y will shut you down without even reading about your products. To illustrate the power of cool, did you know that Apple were the sixth brand in the market place to introduce the MP3 player? Although it was breakthrough technology, it was originally very poorly marketed to Generation Y, then Apple launched the Ipod.

So funk up your website with a retro look, MP3 download, video streaming or a podcast link. Look for synergy, like Apple did with Ipod and their Itunes site.

If you can get Generation Y traffic to your site and they like what they find, they will not only buy from you, they will come back again and again, so link a blog to your site and then hook up your visitors to some interesting sites with links, not just about things with commercial value to you. bbcworld.com which is the best news service online.

Finally, remember to really engage and attract Generation Y. Use experimental tactics, be creative, read about and use Guerrilla and viral marketing, as these methods have proven very popular to engage and sell to Generation Y.

Visit my blog to read more about selling to Generation Y.

P.S Don't design it for them and market it at them - design it with them and market it through them. Blogs and forums to get feedback and using affiliates to shift product are perfect examples of this philosophy. In the affiliate marketing World.

Gwen Stefani calls her weight struggle "a nightmare". She has revealed that she's being dieting since she was in grade 6 and admits that it is all in the name of vanity. Gwen on her post-pregnancy body: "Your metabolism is like, whooosh! You're sleep deprived, but you have this crazy amount of energy because of all those hormones. I'm scared what'll happen when it all stops. What it'll feel like, going back to the regular me. Now I'm in a repeater zone. I just want to make babies and make records."

Gwen on her 'My Fair Lady'-inspired spread: "I've gotten a little more feminine over the last few years. As the years go by, you get more comfortable with looking more like a woman."

Gwen on struggling to maintain her size 4 figure: "I hate talking about it, but it's true. I've always been on a diet, ever since I was in the sixth grade. It's an ongoing battle and it's a nightmare. But I like clothes too much, and I always wanted to wear the outfits I would make. And I'm very vain."

What Does Gwen Stefani Eat?

When asked what Gwen Stefani eats she replies "all the healthy stuff, but I usually let myself cheat once or twice a day with a pizza or a cookie". Luckily for you...I've has asked her personal trainer to reveal her diet and workout schedule. Click Here to see exactly what she eats.

A shopping guide of choosing the ipod

When you are shopping to get a new Ipod on Ebay, here are some tips and characteristics of the many Ipods listed for auction. By using this guide, you'll learn what's worth the money, or what's not. Simply scroll down the list until you spot the Ipod your looking for. Then read the description, pros and cons, and make up your own mind. The recomendations are based off of customer feedback on certain models and the defects or problems have been painstakingly researched. Good luck with your next purchase!

1st Gen Ipod:On October 23, 2001, the first generation Ipod was released. Although smaller in weight and size than a ordinary harddrive, the original 5 and 10 gig Ipods were scheduled to make history. They had four player control buttons around the cener scroll wheel. Although a breakthrough for their time, the first gen Ipods are bulky and don't store that many songs(compatibility with PC is an issue) on their harddrives, therefore, buying one of these isNOT RECOMENDED(most do not work or are damaged after so many years of playing).

2nd Gen Ipod: The second generation featured many of the characteristics of the first gen Ipods, with the button and control layouts being the same, but several advancements were made with a better equalizer, battery, harddrive, and screen. It was the largest MP3 player of it's kind at the time, but software compatibility with Pc was still a problem. Again, it is NOT RECOMENDEDthat you buy the second gen. due to such flaws (PC incompatibility)and the likely probability that the Ipod is nearing the end of it's life(rechargeable batteries won't hold charge).

3rd Gen Ipod:The third gen featured a new layout, with four touch-sensitive player controls and a touch sensitive scroll wheel in the center. It featured a similar 10 or 20 gig configuration, with some models having 30 gig hard drives. There were a few rare models with etched names on the back (example:Tony Hawk, Madonna, etc.) which can be considered collector items. It featured newer software, which was finally recognized on SOME and not all PC's. Third gens are risky when it comes to buying them used, however, some customers are really satisfied with them. It is up to you whether or not it is worth buying a third gen (batteries still hold quite a bit of charge) and they tend to be in alright condition, however, some models have short circuits in the player buttons and scroll wheel that renders them useless, so BE CAREFUL while shopping.

4th Gen Ipod: The next in the series is the fourth gen. The first few fourth gens were still unreliable when it came to compatibility, but later on, they formed an alliance with HP(Hewlett Packard) to make the Apple/HP Ipod which was compatible with all Windows based computers. It featured a larger harddrive with 20, 40, and 60 gig packages available. It also featured a new click wheel which incorperated all player controls into the central wheel, giving the Ipod a more condensed look without all the buttons taking up space. The U2 version was released in honor of the band and it's unique black and red cover makes it a true collectible item. Overall, this is the most common Ipod you can find, and some can be in rather bad condition, so BE CAREFUL (batteries tend to hold good charge and player tends to work properly). http://www.papatek.com/USB-Wireless-LAN-Adapter/

Ipod Photo: The first ever color screen Ipod that came in 60 and 80 gig packages. It was compatible with all Windows based PC's and it allowed the user to download and view full color images in a slide show. Had the same layout as the fourth gen Ipod with the click wheel. Great battery life and wonderful customer feedback. RECOMENDED, though you must watch out for a couple of abused or damaged ones (great battery life and normally in great condition with only slight scratches).

Ipod Video: Just released widescreen Ipod that let's users download and watch video on their Ipod. Comes in 30 and 60 gig configurations, now with a color choice of white or black (older Ipods were always white, except for certain special editions). You can also download pictures as well, making it able to complete all tasks of previous Ipods. Compatible with all Windows based PC's with fully compatible software as well. RECOMENDED (too new to have major defects). Battery life is full with no known defects. Definately a customer favorite.

Ipod Mini 1st Gen: The Ipod mini came shortly after the release of the fourth gen Ipod. It had 4 gigs of RAM(random access memory) chipsets rather than a harddrive, which made it lighter and smaller. It had a metal case which came in several metallic paint schemes. It housed the same clickwheel as the fourth gen Ipod and it had the same Windows compatible software as the Ipod fourth gen. Overall, this Ipod is very common and is liked by most customers. BE CAREFUL while shopping for these, because some can be damaged or abused by the user. Batteries still hold rather good charge. A good Ipod to have. http://www.papatek.com/Cell-Phone-Accessories/

Ipod Mini 2nd Gen: The 2nd gen Ipod mini featured 8 gigs of RAM memory while still maintaining it's lightweight, compact design. It featured the same metal body with metallic paint schemes and the same clickwheel. Basically, they just modified the memory chips of the Ipod 1st gen and called it the second gen.RECOMENDED, because only a few of these were made after the 1st gen Mini. Batteries still hold good charge and it is compatible with all Windows based PC's.

Ipod Nano: The replacement of the Ipod mini. It houses 4 gigs of RAM memory in its razor thin body. It features a color screen which allowes you to view album art and other color pictures. It also comes in two colors, white and black (like the Ipod Video). Features the click wheel like it's older cousin the Ipod Mini. RECOMENDED, because of it's relative newness to the market and it's lack of known problems. Since the Nano is rather new, the batteries charge fully and it is fully compatible with Windows based PC's. http://www.papatek.com/LCD-Panel/

Ipod Shuffle: Stripped down version of the Ipod. It has no screen, no clickwheel, and no harddrive. Instead, it is shaped like a pocket drive with the USB plug built into the Ipod, so you just plug the whole thing into the computer to upload songs and charge the battery(runs off of computer's powered USB port). It has flash memory, a chipset similar to ram that stores music files. It comes in 512mb or 1 gig packages and the player controls are mounted near the top of the Ipod in the form of buttons. Unlike the Nano or Video Ipods, it only comes in white, and is good for those who don't have lots of music to store. RECOMENDED because of it's ease of use and relative newness to the market. So far, no problems have been found with this new flash system. A favorite to many customers.

How To Use The Gen 1:29 Diet For A Safe Weight Loss (Part 2)

In continuation of part one of this article, listed below will be the list of other common items that should form the basis of a proper diet for a safe weight-loss regimen. Combined with proper exercise and mental attunements, these substances will make the drugless foundation for a quick and safe weight loss, naturally and without the dangerous and unnecessary side-effects of modern day concoctions and diet fads.

Moreover, you will experience improved health, delayed aging, increased flexibility, clearer skin, brighter eyes and mental sharpness to name a few of its many benefits.

These are the rest of the foods for a healthy diet when aiming for a safe weight loss as suggested in the first part of this article.

Safe Weight Loss Diet: Items for Consumption (D-T)

9. Dates:

NATURAL CANDY! They are loaded with tons of nutrients unlike their artificial counterfeits: candies in the store, but like them have to be eaten in moderation say 4-5 in the spring and summer times and 5-15 (medium sized ones) fall and winter times.

Try to eat dates 12 minutes or so after a mono meal of a sweet fruit say bananas or mangoes and 10 minutes before a stalk of Celery or lettuce. Barhi or honey dates are my personal favorites. According to Dr. Arnold Ehret they are excellent mucus absorbers as well. They are great sources of quick energy and surprisingly, proteins.

10. Figs:

When in season, these one of a kind fruits are powerfully cleansing and rank very high as detoxifying and body building elements. Buy them only in season (summer times) it's the favorite of African Chimpanzees.

11. Grapes:

They are great sources of powerful antioxidants. Ensure to eat them organically and in season only (summer). Also try to get the seeded ones. They are one of the best foods to break a fast with. Dried, they make your raisins.

12. Lemons:

This is about the only non-sweet fruit that I personally include in my diet. It has ascorbic properties and when squeezed fresh in warm water first thing in the morning can be unrivaled in beating constipation and alleviating overall lethargy. It is one of the most alkaline forming foods in spite of its acidic taste and it's available year round.

12. Lettuce:

The king of Vegetables. Even plain, they have an excellent taste to them. They are highly perishable though and thus need to be consumed soon after purchase. It is the basis of many a salad and is a great body building food. Mountain gorillas of the Plateau regions of Nigeria and Cameroon subsists primarily on leaves and look at how big and strong they are (of course that's all they have access too in their habitats and they are much less active than the lowland gorillas of the south of these two African countries who eat mostly sweet fruits and a few leaves)

13. Maple Syrup:

Native to the First Americans, this food is a balanced form of positive and negative sugars. There are three grades of maple syrup A, B and C. My recommended grade is B. It contains sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, iron, copper and silicon. Some uninformed operators of the sugaring of maple syrup do use formaldehyde pellets ran through polyethene tubing so ensure to use only organic maple syrup.

14. Mangoes:

As great as this fruit is, eat in moderation though and if you can organically grown and only in season. 4-5 should fill the average person up, but hey if they are too tempting it doesn't hurt to enjoy.

15. Melons:

As a rule Eat melons alone or leave alone. They are one of the fruits that leave the stomach almost as soon as they are ingested and thus should not be combined with other foods, if you must, wait 20 minutes or so and eat Celery or Lettuce. I'm of the firm belief that in the summer times when they peak, a human can subsist on them for days on end. Ensure to get them ripe and enjoy as you desire. I've tried a watermelon fast to very rewarding results.

16. Nectarines:

Like its close relative, peaches, these stone fruits are excellent in the summer times when they are available and a mono meal of them for a restricted diet can be a camouflaged fast.

17. Pears:

A viable winter fruit. It is a sub acid fruit like the apple and is of course loaded with vitamins and minerals. Ensure to eat this fruit only when fully ripe.

18. Pineapples:

Look for varieties ripened on the leaves. I've not (as of this writing at least) been to Hawaii to taste their crop but, I've had the pleasures of them in Nigeria, they are simply great. Being an acidic fruit, ensure to consume them in the earlier part of the day.

19. Plantains:

At times known as the potatoes of the air, the varieties grown in Ecuador or the tropical countries are great. They form the staple of many so-called third world countries and can be enjoyed alone or with some plain raw leaves of parsley, lettuce or celery.

20. Potatoes:

Some authors have attacked potatoes as being unsuitable for human consumption. Though not the best food, nothing could be further from the truth though. I've read and have been in tribes who subsist on root vegetables only; its cousin the sweet potato actually ranks high as an alkaline forming food. In my estimation, boiled and mashed with avocadoes and a dash of sea salt after eating some celery, they are a Welcome balance to even excessive sweet fruits and are very nourishing as well. They are also easy to digest and are better than even some so-called raw recipes. They of course are available year round.

21. Tomatoes:

Like the potato, it is a member of the nightshade family but unlike it, the tomato is a fruit botanically. Blended with Young Coconuts or Avocadoes, they are excellent for dressing. They are an acidic fruit thus should be eaten in moderation due to their high content of oxalic acids, 2 -3 should suffice and even then every other day.

As a rule ensure that all of the above (save for maybe mangoes and avocadoes) are grown organically only.

Better health and a safe weight loss need not be things you have to pay an extreme amount of money for. You really don't need any special recipes, worthless and hazardous substances when trying to lose weight. By simply consuming the divinely ordained foods listed above and of course living an active lifestyle, you will be well on your way to a healthy, effective and safe weight loss that your body will appreciate for years to come.

(3 John 1:2 NIV) Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

Good Health is your birthright.

Faster Next Gen Website

Lower loading times for your visitors.

While more and more people are getting access to high speed internet, there are many left on dial up. Be kind to those visitors and do a few, simple things to speed up your webpages. Not only will these tips give you a faster load time, most will also help keep your bandwidth fees low as well!

Compressing your Pages

mod_gzip

mod_gzip is an external extension module for the WWW's most popular web server Apache, created in autumn, 2000.

Its implementation allows for using the compression method gzip for a significant reduction of the volume of web page content served over the HTTP protocol.

Starting with version 1.3.19.2a mod_gzip has found a new home.

Site Inspecting Tools

There are some software and sites that point out mistakes or poorly written-code. One such is a plug-in for firefox called FireBug. It allows you to view code of a page and make changes to it. It aslo gives statistics of all images and scripts downloaded from a particular site and the time taken. (Opera has a similar tool that can be downloaded from the Opera site).

There's an add-on for Firebug; Yahoo!'s YSlow. Click on YSlow icon on the bottom right of the Firefox window, ad it gives a list of flaws if any, and tweaks that can help fix the page.

YSlow also gives an overall grade to the page!

Use CSS For Faster Pages

Even if you decide to use tables, CSS can greatly improve your web sites load time! With your styles in an external .css file, the browser can cache all the formatting and stylizing for your pages instead of having to read each and every single tag all over again. Also it cuts down on long drawn out tags and replaces them with smaller class styles instead.

Use External Scripts

Use the same script on multiple pages? Switch to an external script. I'm not talking about remotely hosted, I mean loading javascript files from one source instead of adding all that code to each of your pages like this:

That way the browser already has it in it's cache and won't have to read it each time another page loads. This one saves a ton of load time, specially for larger scripts!

Remove Anything You Don't Really Need

OK, while this might sound obvious sometimes the hardest thing about creating a website is not using every fancy trick that you know. Images, flash and sometimes even sound files are very impressive.. but do you really need to showcase all your talents one one page?

Embedded sound files are something many people just find annoying anyway. You'd be surprised how many are surfing at work ;-) . The last thing anyone wants is a loud music or sounds announcing to their boss that they're surfing. Also many people have their own music playing... hearing a song over top of what we're listening to is less than pleasant. As for Java applets, try to ditch them or if you want those effects, JavaScript unusually loads faster and can do just as much or more. Stand back and take a critical look at your website, you may see a few special effects that can be let go of for the sake of faster load time.

Avoid Nested Tables

OK, I'm not a big fan of using tables for layout anyway (I'm one of those people that believes content and presentation should be separate.. but thats another tip page). With that said, if in your templates tables seem neccessary (or the easier way to do it), try to avoid nesting. Why? When you place a table inside another table, it takes a lot longer for the browser to work out the spacing since it has to wait to read the entire html and then work out the layout. If at all possible, try using CSS to create the columns on your page.

Avoid Full Page Tables for Faster Rendering

If you use tables, try avoiding the whole page being one big table. The browser won't show anything until it's read the whole thing that way. For a faster loading webpage, either try multiple tables (not nested) or having stuff above the main table to make your content in the first table show up faster. That way your visitors will have something to read while the rest of your page loads. It may not really make you page faster, but it will feel like it to your visitors.

Split Up Long Pages - Multiple Short Pages Load Faster

By splitting up long pages into multiple pages you not only make the content show up faster but many people that see a very long scroll bar give up. Remember, people's attention spans are often shorter than a grasshoppers (OK, not literally, but you get my point) since so much information is available at our fingertips. Try breaking it up into more readable lengths.

Remove Excess "Whitespace"

Whitespace is the spaces between your coding, removing the unneeded tabs and spaces can help a lot! Doing this will take a lot of extra bytes off the total size of your page and will speed up load time quite a bit. (Careful using automatic squishers, I find they often squish too much and makes it rather hard to edit later.)

Keep Your Code Clean

If you do use a wysiwyg editor, most times the will add useless code to your pages for example, many will leave empty tags (ie. ). Removing any of those excess tags will not only speed up your load time, but make you pages validate a lot cleaner.

Speed up Images Load Time

Don't Go Overboard On Images

While images can greatly enhance the look of a site they can really slow it down if there are too many. Try to decide if all your images are really needed (quite a few nice effects can be done with css, so sometimes images are unneeded.). Images are obviously, the biggest culprits, when it comes to slowing down a site. Every image means a separate request sent to the server. Use image maps: they bring down the number of requests. Here are some more methods:

Height And Width Tags

When the page loads and the image size is already defined (ie. you've used the height and width tags), the browser knows where everything will be before the images are loaded. Otherwise the page has to wait and load the images before the text. Same goes for tables, so try to use width tags when possible on those as well for a speedier page.

Faster Images? Reduce Their File Size

There are many totally free, online image optimizers so you don't even have to install anything and it's extremely easy! Online Image Optimizer will greatly reduce the file size of your gif, jpg, or pngs and neither you or your visitors will be able to see the difference other than a page that loads a heck of a lot faster. They also keep the transparency and animations in gifs! For another JPEG reduction, try JPEG Wizard, also free, this one will only work with pictures in your hard drive not ones from the net. You can also choose some simple effects to be done (flip, mirror and rotate).

GIF vs JPG vs PNG

Go for optimized pngs. They have lossless compression (unlike jpgs and can be used without worry (gifs have the potential to have copyright issues) and load fast! With all that said, if you still want to use gifs and jpgs, here's a bit of fast info... If you don't need sharp resolution, choose GIFs over JPEGs, as GIFs generally load quicker. JPGs are generally best for photos, GIFs for anything else.

(I'd add a rant here about how Microsoft had held up the web's development with not making IE6 support png transparency... but *sigh* I've ranted about this already to anyone who will listen. Firefox, Opera and other modern browsers however have been able to show alpha transparency in png for years... oops, sorry, that was a mini rant after all!)

i have a nano second gen , and a new nano 3rd gen and i have a lot of music on the second gen one that i dont have on my computer anymore, is there a way to copy its music to my computer ? yhanx a alot .

there is this program called Ipod Copy Expert that you can download, but the down side is you can only copy 5 songs each time for free, otherwise you have to pay a monthly fee. So after 5 songs just uninstall it and reinstall it back onto your computer. you can find it by going to http://www.ipod-computer.com/iPod-Copy/index.html?ad=google&gclid=CNeAkLq17ZMCFQyenAod2jvyWg

I believe you were blessed by the first part of this article, I'm so excited because of the response I've got from folks who have been greatly impacted via the truths contained in the message, all the glory goes to God. Like I promised in the first part of this message, I want to concentrate on the five power words of Genesis chapter 1:28 and in the last part I shall open you up to how to activate the latent power of God that that is urgently begging for expression.

Let's recap Gen 1:28 it reads thus: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Five POWER words stands out very distinctly in this verse of scripture, they are ...Fruitful, Multiply, Replenish, Subdue, and Dominion... Let's take a peep at these words one after the other, I mean Let's get you started, shall we?

FRUITFUL: The first power ability word God activated in you at creation was and still is fruitfulness. To be Fruitful simply full of fruits, full of outstanding results and feats, having proof for your labor. So my friend, I ask you, do you have proof in your calling, profession, business, marriage, and job? Remember ...Jesus shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, Acts 1:3

MULTIPLY: The second life-changing word God activated in you is multiplication grace. Multiplication means the grace for enlargement, expansion, and increment on every side. Look at the record of the exploits of Isaac... And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great.... and the Philistines envied him. Gen 26:13-14. In line with the heavy capacity inside of you, you are not permitted to remain small, I command you to multiply.

REPLENISH: I am excited with the third power-word that God activated in my friend. To replenish means to fill something that had previously been emptied, in another word, the ability to fill up every void around you. Cast your mind back to pre-creation in Genesis chapter 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; the same capacity that enabled God to fill the earth all the wonders you see around is lying latent in you. My friend, don't accept that excuse, wake up and reign.

SUBDUE: The next power word God activated in you is the ability to subdue and not tone subdue. Therefore, it is an aberration for you to be subdued by circumstances around you. To subdue means to conquer, overcome and win in all of your endeavors

DOMINION: Means to govern, to rule, it speaks of kingship and lordship. You have a domain where you been blessed to govern and rule. It is your duty to look for it. Don't accept the status quo, arise and take charge of your God given territory.

Remember, the blessing God activated in you, is a tripartite mandate. You have been commissioned to dominate in the spirit dimension, earth dimension and in the under world dimension, what are you waiting for, it's time to tap into the power within you.
